The tourist who chooses Treviso and the Marca Trevigiana for a day trip, a weekend or a longer stay will never be disappointed by its many beautiful sights and interesting itineraries. One can only feel amazed by its beauty and cannot help growing fond of it.
The Marca Trevigiana is the birthplace of the painters Cima da Conegliano and Giorgione, of Antonio Canova and, more recently, of Arturo Martini, Guido Rossi and Giovanni Barbisan, who have all left vigorous traces of their presence both on the territory and the museums. Palladio worked here, and here he conceived and built some of his most remarkable villas, architectural masterpieces of all times. Here you can see the testimonies of faith and religious culture, expressed in the imposing frescoed churches, but also in the abbeys, sanctuaries and parish churches, in the often extremely ancient country and hill oratories that you can see everywhere.
Finally the Marca has incomparable ancient towns, walled citadels and villages with typical stone houses, imposing castles and gentry palaces.
But the Marca Trevigiana not only has history to offer, it also has unspoilt nature and breathtaking landscapes, within a territory that in few kilometres connects the Prealpi mountain range to the Venetian lagoon.
Water abounds and flows everywhere, making this land fertile and rich in valuable cultivations, such as vineyards (white wine in the hills and red wine in the plane) or specialities such as the red chicory.
The local gastronomy has obviously been inspired by such generous nature, resulting in the harmonious encounter between tradition and innovation.
The famous hills of the Marca Trevigiana, that go all the way from Asolo to Valdobbiadene and Vittorio Veneto, offer a wide range of leisure activities.
In the province of Treviso hotels and touristic facilities suitable for all kinds of people happily meet the well known sense of hospitality of its operators and inhabitants: it can thus be visited all year round, offering its union of history and everchanging and fascinating scenery.
Candelù is a small fraction of Maserada sul Piave, situated at 6 km east
The church of Candelù is the most relevant structure of the village.... after my antennas.
A general overview of my surroundings. Any idea for a beverage?
That's my garden.
I still can't understand why I'm not allowed to put two verticals for the low bands, instead of those awful trees. :-)
Yes, sometimes it snows. Hey, what's that strange thing on the garden? a tower for antennas?.... Unfortunatly I could raise it for only one week. :-(
